Hubbard R. Garber, CFA, CFP, is managing director at Barrington Partners and founded the firm in 1995. Barrington Partners is a specialist strategy firm working globally with asset management firms in the areas of Strategy Consulting, Industry Benchmarking Surveys, Best Practices Research and Investment Banking.
Barrington frequently works with management companies and fund company boards on issues such as intermediary fees, intermediary oversight, transfer agency, cost and risk analysis on middle and back office operations, service provider selection and fee analysis in both the US and European markets. Barrington also sponsors focused groups of 15-20 industry firms that address specific topics on an ongoing basis: Intermediary Forum, Fund Accounting Forum and the Middle Office (operations and risk) Forum.
Prior to starting Barrington Partners, Mr. Garber worked for two custodial banks: IFTC in Kansas City, and Investors Bank in Boston. He also worked for IDS-American Express (now Ameriprise Financial).
Mr. Garber is a graduate of Beloit College, and holds CFA and CFP designations, as well as Series 79 and Series 63 FINRA licenses.
